One of Kao’s main aims has always been compliance with existing legislation. We are specifically aware that from 1^st December 2008 there will not be any chemical substance on the EU market, which has not been pre-registered/registered, unless the substance is covered by any of the exceptions listed in the REACh regulation.

At present, we can confirm that all substances produced or imported by any of Kao’s European subsidiaries, have already been pre-registered and the pre-registration has already been accepted by ECHA. In some cases, pre-registration has been carried out even without taking into account whether the volume exceeds 1 tonne per year.
