Kao Chemicals Europe has subscribed a system of audits on a voluntary basis, the overcoming of which accredits the suitability of their system to achieve the objectives pursued. All of these activities are audited both internally and externally.
The voluntary certifications obtained by the different companies of Kao Chemicals Europe are:
International Standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). These systems refer to the policies, processes, documented procedures and records related to the production and delivery of products and solutions to customers, ensuring their quality.
As described in the ISO 22716 standard. Good Manufacturing Practices are practical and organizational guidelines set up to ensure the reproducibility and the quality of manufacturing process in cosmetic products.
A standard that delineates requirements for occupational health and safety management systems, to effectively control risks associated with various activities, its performance and ongoing improvement.
An international standard for environmental management. It certifies the commitment that Kao Chemicals Europe acts with respect to environmental issues, through the management of possible environmental risks that could be associated with the development of our activity.
A European regulation (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) outlining an environmental management and audit scheme which establishes environmental performance indicators to analyze and measure the efficient use of resources.
According to regulation (CE) Nº 1221/2009, which allows those voluntary, abiding organisations bound by a common Environment and Management Auditing System (EMAS), Kao Corporation, S.A., publishes its Environmental Declaration annually.
Provides necessary information, from an external point of view, to be used in evaluating the behaviour of Kao in relation to the Environment. An international standard providing a management framework and development strategy for energy system organizations. It is developed by ISO and covers aspects such as energy use and consumption, design and acquisition practices for energy consuming equipment, systems and processes and development of energy management plans, among other activities.
KAO Corporation, which has been a member of the "Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil" (RSPO) since 2007, concluded in 2015 by certifying all of its chemical facilities are already compliant with the RSPO "Mass Balance" and "Segregated" Supply Chain Certification Systems.
